Vitamin K

FEED INGREDIENT FOR OTHER SPECIES

We offer various vitamin K products:
  • MSBC (menadione sodium bisulfite complex) - 33% menadione content 
  • MPB 50% (menadione dimethyl pyrimidinol bisulfite) - 22.7% menadione content 
  • MPB 80% (menadione dimethyl pyrimidinol bisulfite) - 36% menadione content 
  • MNB 80% (menadione nicotinamide bisulfite) - 36% menadione content
Vitamin K supplementation is US Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved for use in poultry, which have a limited ability for microbial production of vitamin K.  They are typically fed supplemental vitamin K in diets to meet their requirements.
 
Vitamin K source menadione sodium bisulfite complex (MSBC) is approved for use in poultry by the US FDA, feed supplementation at 2 to 4 grams/ton of finished feed. 
 
Another source of vitamin K, menadione dimethylpyrimidinol bisulfite (MPB), is approved for use by the US FDA in poultry at 2 grams/ton of finished feed.  
 
Yet another source of vitamin K, menadione nicotinamide bisulfite (MNB), is approved for use by the US FDA in poultry and swine at a level up to 2 grams/ton of finished feed.
