Colorants

FEED INGREDIENT FOR POULTRY

 A signature group of products for the past 150 years, iron oxide-based colorants remain an important part of our business. 

 
Today, we make more use of synthetically produced iron oxides versus those occurring naturally.  This is because synthetic iron oxides have 10 to 15 times the pigment strength and thus will free up more space in the nutrition formulation.  
 
An added benefit of pigmented feed is the ability to color-code mixtures based on formulation.  
 
Our colorants include:
  • Red Iron Oxide 3730
  • Synthetic Black 2542
  • Synthetic Red 2568
  • Synthetic Yellow 2200
  • Yellow Iron Oxide 3003
